Deep Relaxation Variations

I have been both teaching and using the ‘Deep Relaxation’ script at a patient’s initial induction for very many years. Although I continue to ‘tweak’ the wording, it remains basically the same script for the simple reason that so far, I have not yet found anything that comes close to its effectiveness or efficiency.
However, some therapists have queried its use with those who are agoraphobic, have mobility difficulties or suffer hay fever (for example) and whether a different script would be better in such circumstances.
