Intrusive Thoughts

A therapist does not like the label of the symptom he is treating, believing that saying ‘Intrusive Thoughts’ has too great a connection with the conscious, thinking mind. The resultant discussion provides useful information about the symptom itself, but also explains why it is not a good idea to ask the subconscious about ‘the problem’ but instead to rely only descriptions from the conscious mind.
