One-handed IMR

QUESTION : I have a new client who only has the use of one arm. I am seeing him later today for his third session and plan to introduce IMR.

I am going to ask him which fingers of the one hand he would prefer to use for the yes/no answering – but is there a better way to do this?


If this were me – I’d simply state the little finger for one answer and the thumb for the opposite – they’re far enough away from each other to not cause any confusion in you seeing/understanding the response.
