Once the initial consultation has been conducted and you have assured yourself that the standard Anti-Smoking Treatment is appropriate, and have provided this treatment to your patient – it is extremely beneficial to provide the patient with a CD or tape recording to take away with them.
This reinforces the treatment you have provided in person, and also provides ‘follow up support’ which research shows to be such a large part of enabling a person to remain a non-smoker.
