Having just qualified, one therapist decided to see what other hypnotherapists in the area were doing and whether they might be considered ‘competition’. The following result was posted by the therapist onto the Curative Hypnotherapy Internet Discussion Forum (egroup) in 2001.
3 hypnotherapists (there are no Lesserian™ hypnotherapsists YET in [my area]) were selected from Yellow Pages and telephoned.
Each was told “Hello I need to give up smoking and I can’t so I thought I would try hypnotherapy”.
No further information was volunteered but each hypnotherapist kept me on the phone for about 15 minutes talking at length [about] how they were skilled in resolving smoking problems.
