During [a recent] conference, the subject of different states of hypnosis was raised. There was not time to allow this discussion to enfold, but it was clear that everyone had an opinion on the matter and the discussion therefore continued in the online forum.
The question raised was:
……..If in therapy a person in hypnosis is very relaxed and if a person who takes part in a stage-hypnosis show is able to jump around and make a fool of himself – then are there two (or more) different types of hypnosis?
