Treating a Therapist

While the original enquiry was about accepting someone for treatment who was currently training in LCH, the same comments equally apply to treating a practising colleague or trained LCH therapist.


 

Question:

“I was just wondering whether you would advise I start in the same way as any other patient, or whether I go straight to the TV session at the consultation?

She did ask me if we’ll be able to progress more easily than other patients because she’s on the course, but I informed her that I won’t be expecting any more from her than any other patient (so as to ensure that she didn’t feel under any pressure to ‘perform’ perfectly).”

 


 

Answer:

The comment about not expecting anything more from her was good and I’m sure will have a beneficial effect.  This is actually a ‘biggie’ and if
