Visualisation vs IMR

How do I enable my patient to recall the details of an event without causing conscious intervention? Can I just use IMR throughout the whole treatment or is visualisation necessary?

Question:  I don’t feel confident about using visualisation once I have IMR established, as I have concerns that this technique will bring some degree of conscious intervention. I tend to avoid it, but wonder if I’m doing right – Any suggestions?
