“I’m just phoning to let you know that your advert is now ready” – If you get a phone call that starts of in a way similar to this – be alert!
You will be told that someone from your organisation agreed to this advert ‘back in January’ and that the advert or the publication showing your advert is now ready and therefore payment is due.
Oftentimes, the publication is booklet or handbook for some worthy cause – for local schools or a children’s hospital – and many thousands have now been printed with your details showing. The person will reel off all your details to prove this to you.
