The Purposes of CDs

It is often assumed that using CDs or audio recordings (downloads etc) is solely for the patient’s benefit in helping them to relax, but having, lending and receiving feedback on them are all also a valuable part of the treatment itself.
Certainly, practising regularly means they steadily gain more experience of relaxing to the sound of your voice, therefore progressively find it easier – and quicker – to achieve a good state of relaxation; which increases the efficiency of your treatment.
Additionally, it allows them to discover just how deeply they can relax. Many people don’t realise how little they relax in daily life, taking time to do so on a daily basis gives them a comparison, helping to highlight the differences which can be achieved from treatment.
