Pre-treatment discussion: As there was clearly much conscious involvement in the previous session, it was necessary to go over a few points once again with this patient, so that she understood what information we were seeking and therefore grasped the importance of Conscious Distraction. 

These key points were repeated once again after the induction and before the questioning begun. These explanations and subsequent directions are highlighted in the transcript below.
